Why your diffuser might look cloudy (and why that's normal)

If you've ever noticed a little cloudiness or tiny particles in your diffuser, don't worry; it doesn't mean anything is wrong.

When you work with 100% natural essential oils, variations like this can happen. Some oils are naturally resinous, thicker, or more sensitive to temperature changes. Others may gently separate over time, especially in cooler rooms.

Our Sanctuary diffuser, for example, contains pure Myrrh essential oil, which is naturally resinous. Because of this, you may occasionally notice a little sediment or slight cloudiness in the bottle. This is completely normal and doesn't mean the blend has changed in any way.

A gently shake with the cap on is usually all it takes to bring everything back together.

Synthetic fragrances are designed to stay perfectly clear and uniform. Natural blends behave more like real ingredients do. They can shift slightly, just like olive oil might cloud in the cold.

At Acoori, we choose to keep our blends natural rather than forcing them to look identical at all times. Those small variations are simply part of working with real plant oils; and a reminder that what you're using hasn't been artificially stabilised.

With care,

The Acoori Team
